In January and February 2026, we urged the city to stand with our immigrant community members. One of our organizers spoke during public comment twice, and several book club members wrote to their councilors.
On February 9, 2026, the city posted on their Facebook page, providing images of newly signed documents about immigration and the city's values.
On Februrary 20, 2026, the city posted the documents on the city website, linked below.
(Signed by the Mayor, City Council President, and School Committee President. City Council President Julie Flowers later posted on Facebook that all City Councilors and all School Committee Members had also signed on.)
